Product & Delivery

The Delivery Manager (DM) reporting directly to the Director of Product and Delivery, will contribute to building and maintaining efficient and effective Delivery Management processes within the organization. Leveraging their extensive industry knowledge and experience as well as CLEARVIEW’s current practices, the DM is responsible for managing the Statement of Work process including estimation of effort/cost, tracking/reporting on status of all projects throughout their entire lifecycle, working with other managers to plan project resourcing and managing project backlog such that delivery and billing targets can be met. The DM provides portfolio level updates to key clients and is first point of escalation for clients. From time-to-time the DM may also actively manage projects.

What will your day look like?

Duties and tasks include, but are not limited to:

Proposals/Statements of Work:
• Maintaining status of each in-progress proposal/Statement of Work
• Assisting Product Owners and technical staff in overcoming barriers in solution design
• Coordinating the effort estimation process and entering final estimates in SOW
• Delivering SOWs to clients and maintaining contact until SOW is signed

Resource Management:
• Leading weekly resource allocation discussions to plan and assign resources to projects
• Understanding resource allocation (utilization) to plan and provide input into project scheduling
• Working with other departments (Sales, Onboarding, Customer Success) to forecast resource demand
• Working directly with resource managers (Development, QA, etc.) and Project Managers (PMO) to support the aforementioned activities

Project Status and Budget Management:
• Completing analysis and providing guidance to Project Managers to evolve efficiencies within project delivery
• Working directly with Project Managers to monitor and report on project status (schedule, budget)
• Creating margin and effort summary analysis reports for Senior Management
• Participating in lessons learned meeting/project retrospectives
Project Planning and Execution:
• Once SOWs signed, coordinating with functional area managers to plan staffing for each project
• Ensuring project is properly set up in time tracking software and providing estimates to team
• Collecting summary reports from Project Managers on each project and creating internal/external summary
• Providing periodic portfolio summary reports to key clients and leading portfolio review meetings
• Participating in project steering committee meetings and acting as first point of escalation for clients
• Providing guidance to Project Managers and other project resources as needed

Project Issue Escalation:
• Providing a conduit for client and project issue escalations
• Acting as a neutral intermediary to help resolve issues, direct requests, and escalate internally as required
• Evaluating, managing, and escalating issues over project lifecycle

And have:
• A proven track record of successfully managing development projects using Agile (SCRUM/KANBAN)
methodologies and tools
• Familiarity with Waterfall methodology
• A solid understanding of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
• Demonstrated skills in issue management, conflict de-escalation, and communicating decisions
• Experience delivering solutions for high profile client organizations through complex solutions/projects with heavy client interaction in a complex, fast paced and dynamic environment
• 5+ years of progressively responsible leadership roles within or serving an enterprise organization, in which you have managed complex technology projects and programs that have IT and operational components
• 3+ years of people leadership in roles in which you built engagement, alignment, and a trusting and positive team environment
• Experience managing relationships with third party services providers
• Experience working with projects of various sizes and scopes
• The ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and competing priorities at any given point
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with emphasis on customer focus, teamwork, and relationship-building
• Good general computer and internet skills including familiarity with MS Project including use of shared resource pools
Project management certifications (such as PMI’s PMP) are considered an asset but not required; equivalent
experience is also acceptable. Experience working in a software product or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) organization
is considered an asset but not required.
Other requirements:
• Some flexibility of working hours as required based on business and departmental needs
• Occasional travel may be required
• Minimal physical demands, with most time spent sitting/standing in an office environment; manual dexterity
required for computer usage
• Significant visual and mental concentration
